Carlee Benton

Carlee Danielle Benton was born on June 14, 1993 in Jackson, MS.  She was the daughter of Casey and Patti Benton.  Carlee is survived by her parents and her brother, Garret Benton.  She is also survived by grandparents Tom and Bobbie Jones and Ruth Benton.  Carlee had many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her greatly.  She is preceded in death by grandfather Bill Benton and uncle Patrick Benton.

Carlee attended Northwest Rankin and was a graduate of University Christian School.  While at UCS, she was a cheerleader and was selected to be part of the homecoming court.

All who knew Carlee, knew she was a free spirit.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends and most of that time was filled with laughter.  Her sense of humor and infectious laugh meant that she rarely laughed alone.  She knew how to bring a smile to everyone’s face.

Carlee loved an adventure.  She loved to travel and try new things.  She was always the first one on board for a girls’ trip, a weekend in Nashville, or a trip to the beach.  Her carefree attitude allowed her to experience life to its fullest.

To say Carlee had a big heart would be an understatement.  She didn’t know how to love a little.  Her unlimited love for her family, friends, babies and animals was a large part of what made her so special.  Looking at how she invested her time and heart, you would see her generous nature and selflessness.  Carlee was involved in prison mission work through Pine Lake Church.  She was making a difference and spreading the love of Christ to those who needed it most.  Her final kind gesture was the donation of her organs.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11am on Mon. Nov. 26, 2018 at Lakeland Place Garden Park Cemetery in Brandon, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling the arrangements.
