Charles Raymond Murray, 78, passed away on December 14, 2022, at his home in Brandon, MS.  Visitation will be 6-8pm Friday, December 16, 2022, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.  Funeral services are 11 am Saturday at Grace Baptist Church in Brandon, MS with visitation starting at 10 am.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Mr. Murray was born in Laurel, MS on September 20, 1944.  Charles was longtime resident of Rankin County and a member of Grace Baptist Church.  He retired from The Clarion Ledger as a building and maintenance supervisor with over 42 years of service.

Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl M. Hall (Greg); sister, Sandra Register; three grandchildren, Angel Tapley (Steven), Bo Hall, and Dylan Smith; seven great grandchildren, C.J. Hall, Alston Tapley, Sara Tapley, Kloie Hall, Ragen Tapley, Hunter Hall, and Lauren Tapley.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice Brunson Grantham and Jessie G. Brunson; wife, Charlotte Clark Murray; daughter, Christy Rae M. Johnson.
