He was the husband of Patricia Kay Avegno Johnson, and they were married 51 years on December 29, 1962. He was the father of Laurie Ann Johnson, Mindy Lynn Lasseter , Debra Kay (Phillip) Thomas and David Scott (Allison) Johnson and the grandfather of Phillip Scott Lasseter, Michelle Lasseter Nolen, Andrew Colyer Lasseter, Bethany Hope Lasseter, Phillip Ryan Thomas, Connor Scott Johnson, Reagan Elizabeth Johnson and great grandfather of Titus Hartley Lasseter and Liam Britton Nolen.
