James W. Strachan Pearl, MS In loving memory of James W. Strachan, 76, who passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2014 from 11 am until 2 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services will be Friday at 2 pm from the Chapel of Ott & Lee with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Park South. Rev. James Maddox will Officiate. James William Strachan was born on October 9, 1938 in Carroll County, MS to the late Claude Columbus and Lois Irene McCluskey Strachan. He was a self- employed truck driver who drove for over 30 years. He was a Methodist. He enjoyed truck driving and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Rita Faye Strachan of Pearl; two children, Betty Strachan of Oak Ridge, TN and Allen Hubert Strachan of Maurepas, LA; a sister, Faye Walker of Greenwood, IN; and a brother, Hubert Strachan of Carrollton, MS; four step children, Peggy Roberts of Morton, MS, Betty Harris and Billy Stewart both of Forest, MS, and Vickie Cook of Quitman, MS; two grandchildren, Samantha Peyton of Champagne, IL and Nikki McNeer of Pearl, MS; and four step-grandchildren, Mark Westberry, Christy Atkison, Marita Toney, and Wesley Warren. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
