James Thornton

James Robert “Bobby” Thornton, 59, a resident of Mendenhall, MS, passed away on Wed. May 24, 2023 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. May 26, 2023 from 5pm-8pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Graveside Services are 10am on Sat. May 27, 2023 at County Line Cemetery in Mendenhall, MS.

Bobby was born on March 24, 1964 in Jackson, MS to the late Charles Edward Thornton Sr. and Norma Vermelle Slade Thornton Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Thornton; daughter, Tina Irby (Robert); sisters, Norma Chism (Edward) and Tammy Henry; brothers, Jerry Henry, Charles Thornton Jr. and two grandchildren, Brooklyn Irby and Lyndsey Irby.
