Mary Elizabeth Wheeler, age 66, a resident of Harvey LA died Saturday October 18, 2014 at Canon Hospice Care following an extended illness.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2pm Tuesday October 28, 2014 at Salem Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10am to 1pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Mrs. Wheeler was born in Lauderdale County, MS on August 18, 1948 to her parents, T.L. Wheeler and Doris Dotson Wheeler. She was a member of Marrero Baptist Church in Marrero, LA. She retired from Wal-Mart as a telephone operator. Mrs. Wheeler will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, T.L. Wheeler, and sister, Brenda Fay Wheeler.
Survivors include her mother; Doris Wheeler of Bay St. Louis, MS, three children; Robin Creppel of Harvey, LA Tammy Gregoire of Bayou Gauche, LA and Ronald Gregoire (Barbara) of Waggamann, LA one sister; Nancy Savoie (Mike) and two brothers James Majestic and Johnny Wheeler all of Bay St. Louis, MS. She also leaves a legacy of four grandchildren; Heather Helmer (James), Mindy Vidrine (Jason), Marlana Stone (Christopher), Mason Billiot and six great-grandchildren: Madison Helmer, Alyson Helmer, Austin Raffray, Kamdyn Raffray, Landyn Stone and Liam Stone.
