Verna Pratt

Verna Mae Pratt, age 86 of Brandon, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022, at home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at 10:00am from Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with Rev Carl Pruitt officiating. A Graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at Gum Log Cemetery in Bailey, MS. Pallbearers will be Brad Phillips, Michael Rainey, Justin Rainey, Jimmy Pratt, Josh Sistrunk, and Michael Kilcrease. Visitation will be Monday, May 30, 2022, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.
She was born in Gilbertown, AL on December 22, 1935, to the late Benjamin Coody and Ollie Mae Coody.
Verna is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Earl Pratt; daughters, Roberta Janelle Pratt and Linda Elrod; granddaughter, Dawn Orr; brothers, Milton Coody and Pete Coody.
She is survived by children, Betty (Mike) Phillips, James (Bonnie) A. Pratt, Archie (Debbie) Glenn Pratt, Jeanita (John L. III) Rainey, Odell (Tammy Faye) Pratt, and Randy (Christy) Pratt; sister, Louise Miller; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends.
