Mr. Alan Paul Richardson, age 65, a resident of Jackson, but formerly of California passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at his home.  A memorial service will be conducted 2pm Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Strong Tower Church on Hwy. 13, Morton, MS.  Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Alan was born in La Mesa, California on November 19, 1952.  He loved to read and do a little fishing and writing.  Alan enjoyed sitting on his back porch every morning with his wife, Deborah and drink coffee and watch the birds.  He really enjoyed talking about politics and reading up on things that were happening in politics.  But most of all he loved the Lord and enjoyed teaching the Bible Study Class he had started at the apartments where he lived.  Alan will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur Richardson Jr. and Patricia Gwendolyn Basom Richardson;  2 sisters, Sharon Thomas and Kathy Ervajec.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Burch Richardson of Jackson,  but formerly of Morton; children, Tessa Emmons of Meridian and Cara Divelbliss (Duane) of Meridian; step son, Chris Banes of Pelahatchie; sister, Linda Richardson of Morro Bay, CA; 9 grandchildren, Emily Faith Emmons, Kaleigha Emmons, Josh Divelbliss, Nick Divelbliss, Bret McDaniel, Sean McDaniel, Holly Banes, Hayden Banes and Hunter Banes; 1 great grandchild, Kylan Divelbliss and a host of friends.
