Albert Gibbs, Jr.

Albert L. Gibbs, Jr. age 68 and a resident of Forest died Thursday September 21, 2017 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson following a brief illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Sunday, September 24, 2017 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with interment in the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Newton County. Rev. Tal Vardaman officiated. Visitation was held from 6pm to 8pm Saturday and again from 1pm-2pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Gibbs was born on August 27, 1949 to his parents, Albert L. Gibbs, Sr. and Vondell Stroud Gibbs in Monroe , LA. He was a Baptist. He was a retired business owner in Forest.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his sister, Brenda Yarbrough of Forest, a nephew, Jimmy Wallace (Heather) of Crossville, TN. 2 nieces Melissa Pilgrim (Brian) of Prentiss, April Wallace of Forest.
Pallbearers were Richard Cooksey, Chris Stroud, Brian Pilgrim, John Gray, Joey Upton, Johnny Rogers and Lane Crosby.
