Albert Hinson

Albert Elwood Hinson, III, age 55, a resident of Monterey Community, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Briar Hill Baptist Church in Florence, MS. Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm Saturday at the church.

Mr. Hinson was born November 14, 1966, in Norfolk, VA. He was born into a family of 7 children, given up for adoption and adopted at the age of 4 months to Lt. Commander, Albert Elwood Hinson, II and Betty Anne Burkley Hinson. He was a handy man and home remodeler by trade married his wife, Shelly Ann Johnson Hinson on June 1, 1993. After 29 years of marriage, he entered Heaven being loved and missed dearly.

Mr. Hinson was preceded in death by his son, Tyler Allen Hinson; parents, Lt. Commander, Albert Elwood Hinson, II and Betty Anne Burkley Hinson; brothers, Johnny Lovett, Charlie Lovett, and Murray Lovett; sister, Christina Voloshen and his birth mother, Gloria May Fields.

Mr. Hinson is survived by his wife of 29 years, Shelly Ann Johnson Hinson; children, Tara Jane Elizabeth Howell, Stephen Douglas Hinson, and Hunter Nicholas Hinson; aunt, Sarah Sheppard (William); brother, Sean Michael Hinson; birth family, Belinda Witt (Myron), Paul Lovett, David Lovett and Larry Lovett; stepfather, Jim Fields; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
