Albert Thomas Keen, 74, passed away on January 16, 2011 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.  Visitation will be Tuesday, January 18, 2011 from 4 pm until 8 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.  Services are 2 pm Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in the chapel of the funeral home with burial in Lakewood South Cemetery. 
Al was born in Abbeville, GA to James Peter Keen and Edna Alene Bowen Keen, both precede his death.  He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War serving over seas.  He retired from the Jackson Police Department in 1989 as a Detective and he served as Chief of Police in Wesson, MS.  He also retired from Copiah Lincoln Community College as Captain of the Campus Police Department in 2004.
His step-son Jason Parker Redd, Sr., brothers, Marvin Keen and Edward Keen also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Cirie Jenkins Keen of Brandon; sons, Scott Keen of Ringgold, GA and A.T. “Tommy” Keen, Jr. (Vicki) of Jackson; step son, Brian Jenkins of Pearl; 5 grandchildren, Holly Johnson of Olive Branch, Brent Quinn of Petal, Jonathan Keen of Jackson, Christopher Keen of Clinton, Katelyn Keen of Clinton; 3 step grandchildren, McKenzie, Parker and Evan Redd of Pearl; 5 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, J.B. Keen of Fitzgerald, GA, Talmage Keen and Larry Keen, both of Brooksville, FL; 4 sisters, Thelma Johnson, Pauline Hitt and Catherine McCook all of Fitzgerald, Ga and Willie Faye Horn of Abbeville, GA; and his best friend, his little puppy, Scooter.
