Alene Donald

Alene Jewel  Donald, age 85, a resident of  the Lawrence community died Thursday, January 26, 2022.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30pm Saturday, January 29, 2022, from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.  Bro. Bobby Everett will officiate the services. Interment will be held at the Jackson Cemetery in Flora. Visitation will be held from 12pm till the service time.

Mrs. Donald was born in Lake Providence, LA  on April 11, 1936.  She was a Baptist.  She had retired from Sears-Roebuck Metro Center as a sales clerk.  She recently relocated to this area in 2018.  She enjoyed life, loved the outdoors and country living.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Preceded in death by her parents; A.G. Sikes and Ella Belle Payne, a son; Roger Dale Hines, son-in-law; Tommy L. Currie, sister; Linda Sue Hale and a brother; Bill Sykes.

Survivors include her son; Robert M. (Mike) Hines and his wife, Donna, also of Lawrence, daughter; Deborah Anne Currie of Flora.  She also leaves behind 4 grandchildren; Wendy Currie Howell and her husband Ryan of Bentonia, Dustin Aaron Hines and his wife Brandi of Brandon, Roger Dale Hollingsworth, and his wife Jamie of Ocala, FL.  Amanda Hines Godwin and her husband Rocky of Newton.  She also leaves a legacy of 8 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Dustin Hines, Rocky Godwin, Larry Robinson, Ryan Howell, Wendy Howell, and Amanda Godwin.
