Alice Faye Boykin, age 81, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the MS Care Center in Morton following an extended  illness.

The family will gather at 1pm Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.  Funeral service will be held at 2pm with interment in the Pineville-Leaf River Cemetery.  (Please wear facial covering/mask and practice physical distancing while inside the building).

Alice was born on  Monday, September 18, 1939 in the Dixon community in Neshoba, County to her parents, Dee Armond  Mitchell and Myrtis Juanita Milling.

She was a member of the Church of God.  After graduating high school, Alice attended Draughon’s  Business  College.  She married her husband, Tommy Boykin on April 8, 1961.  She enjoyed being with family and friends.  She and her husband loved to travel visiting Europe including, England, Belgium, and Holland some of her favorite places.  Alice enjoyed antiques and flea markets  wherever she went.  She especially enjoyed studying ancestry and genealogy,  As a mom, she always made sure her sons were well dressed, sharp and knew  the value of proper etiquette and  being educated.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a  sister Billie Dee Mitchell Coffee.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy G. Boykin of Forest, 3 sons, Gregory Allen Boykin of Tyler, TX.  Robert Boykin (Felicia) of Forest and Jeffery W. Boykin also of Forest.  She also leaves behind a legacy of 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Chris Knowles, Davie Knowles, Kirby Knowles, Michael Thompson,  Dr. Joseph Yates and Dr. Mike McDonald
