Alice B. Stokes, 101, passed away Fri. Dec. 28, 2012 at Wisteria Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held Mon. Dec. 31, 2012 from 9am.-10:45am. at the Pinelake Church in Flowood, MS. Funeral Services are 11am. Mon. Dec. 31, 2012 at Pinelake Church with a 3:30pm. graveside service to follow at the Reeves Cemetery in Summit, MS.
Mrs. Stokes was born on Nov. 13, 1911 in Pike County, MS and grew up in the Friendship Community near McComb. In 1983 she moved to Rankin County and was an active member of Pinelake Church where sharing the love of God and helping people was the motivation of her life.
Mrs. Stokes is preceded in death by her husband, Tait B. Stokes and her son, Charles P. Stokes. She is survived by her daughter, Fay Ray of the Reservoir area; her son, Bill Stokes and his wife Brenda of the Reservoir area; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Marsha Stokes of Muscle Shoals, AL and a multitude of friends.
Mrs. Alice’s wishes, were that no flowers be ordered and the money be used to help people in need through the Truth Seekers Sunday School Class/Alice Stokes Fund at Pinelake Church 6071 MS Hwy. 25 Brandon, MS 39047.
