Alice Dejane Norton

Alice DeJane Brill Norton, 95, passed away at home on Fri. Aug. 13, 2021 in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Sun. Aug. 15, 2021 from 1pm-2:15pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2:30pm on Sun. Aug. 15, 2021 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the First Baptist Church of Fannin Cemetery in Fannin, MS.

Mrs. Norton was born on March 21, 1926 in Menominee, WI to the late Daniel S. Brill and Lois Wolfe Brill Geyer. She and her husband, Dewey Norton lived most of their adult lives and raised their children in Bogalusa, LA where they attended ESM United Methodist Church. After her husbands retirement they moved to Brandon, MS in 2001 to be closer to their daughter. Mrs. Norton was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Flowood, MS. She also loved reading, playing bridge, watching baseball on TV, playing on her cell phone and using Google.

She is survived by her three children, Becky Boyd (Bill), Danny Norton (Kathy) and Rick Norton (Lois); 10 grandchildren, Amy Norton, Stephen Norton (Stephanie), Virginia Bryan (Jason), Katie Meador (Chuck), Mark Norton (Ashley), Michael Norton (Sarah), Matthew Norton (Martha), Billy Boyd (Erin), Randy Boyd and Buddy Boyd (April); 16 great grandchildren, Jacob Norton, Luke Norton, Andrew Norton, Eli Norton, Jack Bryan, Lily Bryan, Lindsay Meador, Nathan Meador, Jonathan Meador, Rossie Norton, Thomas Norton, Connell Norton, Melanie Boyd, Barrett Boyd, Madalyn Boyd, and Bella Boyd; her nephew, Olen Wilson and two special care givers, JoAnn Owens and Chris Bass. Mrs. Norton is also preceded in death by husband, William Dewey Norton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Marks United Methodist Church Music Department at 400 Grants Ferry Rd. Brandon, MS 39047.
