Allan Wayne Roberts, 67, a resident of Brandon, MS went to be with the Lord Friday, April 29, 2016 at the MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held 10 am Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with the interment at 3 pm Wednesday at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mr. Roberts was a native of Flint, MI. He is the son of Gene L. Roberts and Faye Lasiter Roberts. He was married to Billie JoAnne Sutton Roberts, who was the love of his life. Mr. Roberts worked 42 years for General Motors. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in the Vietnam War and will be honored with Military Funeral Honors. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey Beaird and his father, Gene L. Roberts.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Billie JoAnne Sutton Roberts; children, Rhonda (Steve) Hildreth, Sherri Edgar, Shane (Lucy) Johnson and Shelly Johnson; mother, Faye Lasiter Roberts; sisters, Debra Goulet, Beth Williams and Tammy Bragg; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers in law, Linda and Jr. Clark and Susan and Gary Swinea; and a host of friends.
