BURIAL: FLORAL HILLS MEMORY GARDENS IN PEARL
VISIT: 5-9 PM WEDNESDAY AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME
Johnnie Allen Stuart, 63, went to be with his Heavenly Father Monday, October 10, 2011 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00AM Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Flowood Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 9:00PM, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and one hour prior to the service at the church Thursday. Interment will follow the service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
Allen was born August 16, 1948 to Jack and Rachel Stuart in Philadelphia, MS. He had served as the Director of Maintenance with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety for the last 23 years and was recently promoted to Office Director 1. He was an active member of Flowood Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher, ordained deacon, and had recently began to serve as Chairman of the Deacons. In February 2011, he was licensed to the Gospel Ministry. He enjoyed sharing his testimony to any and all. Allen had actively participated in mission trips for many years and served as an example and inspiration to many. He was a member of the Gideons International, Brandon Chapter. He exemplified and truly lived out being the hands and feet of Christ, his Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Dot Stuart; his children and their spouses, DeeDee and Luther Stowers of Brandon, MS, Chad and Angela Stuart of Pearl, MS, and Brook and Kate Stuart of Columbus, MS; eight grandchildren, Joshua, John, and Matthew Stowers of Brandon, Leslie, Dakota, and C.J. Stuart of Pearl, and Brady and Elise Stuart of Columbus; his sister, Jackie Bush of Brandon; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flower, memorial contributions may be made to the Flowood Baptist Church Building Fund or The Gideons International, Brandon Chapter
