Allene Langston Scarborough, age 90, a resident of Richland, MS died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Wisteria Gardens Nursing Home in Pearl, MS after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. Funeral services will be held 10 am Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Richland with interment in Glenwood Memorial Gardens in Richaland, MS. Visitation will be held 4:30-8:00 pm Friday and 9-10 am Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Scarborough was born on June 24, 1926 to Kirby and Flora Bourne Langston, Silver Creek, MS. She was married to William Truett Scarborough. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Richland, MS. She was an avid gardener and loved sharing her flowers with everyone. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will by missed by her family and community.
Mrs. Scarborough was preceded in death by her parents, Kirby and Flora Bourne Langston and her husband of 57 years, William Truett Scarborough.
Mrs. Scarborough is survived by her four sons, Randy (Joyce) Scarborough of Richland, MS, Tim (Mell Ann) Scarborough of Mendenhall, MS, Mark (Mary) Scarborough of Richland, MS and Jeffery (Christy) Scarborough of Mendenhall, MS; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; brother, Hiram (Sandra) Langston of Silver Creek, MS; numerous nieces and nephews.
