Allene Joan Raggio Wickman, age 83, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Jackson, California, passed away early Saturday morning in Knoxville Tennessee. Allene had a quick wit, was a great cook, an avid reader and loved cross word puzzles. Above all else, she loved her husband of 60 years, Bob Wickman and was devoted to her family who adored her in return. Allene and Bob met and fell in love at the University of California at Berkeley. They went on to share an adventurous life that took them to many cities both here and abroad where Allene always created a loving environment for her family.
Allene is preceded in death by her parents, Albert John Raggio and Jenny Beatrice Hicks Raggio. Allene is survived by husband Bob Wickman; daughter, Jenifer Dendinger of Brandon, Mississippi; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Lee Wickman of Farragut, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ryan (Sonya) Dendinger, Will (Meredith) Dendinger, Matthew (Melissa) Wickman, Lindsay (Brin Ryder) Wickman, Sarah Wickman; great grandchildren, Madeline Dendinger, Emmaline Dendinger and Salter Wickman; sister and brother-in-law, Sara Lu and Zane Vorhes of Sacramento, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather for graveside services at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland, MS at 3pm on Saturday, April 30th. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
