Allen H. Ashley

March 10, 1945 — November 19, 2015

Mr. Allen H. Ashley, age 70, a resident of Polkville, formerly of Vicksburg passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015. Visitation was held 4-7pm Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 9:30am Monday, November 23, 2015 at Polkville First Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. Zach Kilpatrick officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Ashley was born in Madison Parish on March 10, 1945. He was superintendent for Moss Construction in Vicksburg for many years. Allen loved being outdoors working in his flowers and growing his tomatoes. He loved his cats and dogs and would take a stray home any time he found one. Allen enjoyed searching his family genealogy. He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Orion Virdell Ashley and Ada Marie Wilson Ashley; brother, Orland Lee Ashley and grandchild, Gabrielle Lisonbee.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Virginia Westberry Ashley of Polkville; 6 children, Sheila Marie Ashley Gullett (Ronnie) of Vicksburg, Allen H. Ashley II (Jennifer) of Brandon, Cyndi J. Terry of Laurel, Sandra L. Quick (Robbie) of Madison, Robyn M. Daniels (James) of Brandon and Connie Renee Hefner (Jeremy) of Pearl; brother, Roy Lavon Ashley (Laura); 10 grandchildren, Ashleigh Gullett, Erin Gullett, Abbi Gail Ashley, Anna Elizabeth Ashley, Jeffrey Wayne Pennington, Tiffany J. Porter, Wesley Lisonbee, Jacob Lisonbee, Isabella Daniels and Halen L. Hefner; great grandchild, Grayson Lowe; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Hefner, James Daniels, Robbie Quick, Leonard Wilson, Daryl Wilson and George Dewiggins. Honorary pallbearers were Tom Baroni, Ronnie Gullett and Butch Hamilton.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Polkville First Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 6640 Hwy 13, Morton, MS 39117.
