Alonzo Neal

Mr. Alonzo Layton Neal, age 84, of Pelahatchie, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.  He was a dedicated member of Barefoot Springs Baptist Church in Pelahatchie where the services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 2:00 pm with visitation from 12:30 pm-1:45pm at the church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Bro. Bill Prestage and Daniel Bray will officate the services.

Mr. Neal owned and operated his own business, Neal's Meter Repair, for over 40 years.  He was a hard working man and willing to help anyone in need.  He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be missed very much by his family and friends.

He loved traveling out west, hunting, fishing and visiting with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, A.B. and Ruby Mae Neal ; his brother, Gary Neal and sister, Bonnie Bryant.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Neal of Pelahatchie; children, David Neal (Joyce) of Pelahatchie, Sharon Bray (Chip) of Pelahatchie, Luann Goodman (Ronnie) of Louisiana and Frances Bozeman of Madison; siblings, Pattye Heidelberg (Quince), Ricky Neal (Sandy) and Danny Neal (Marcie); grandchildren, Jennifer Neal, Daniel Bray (Amanda), Nathan Bray (Kristen), Krista Goodman, Kevin Goodman, Karley Ray (John Ellis) and Danielle Bozeman; great-grandchildren, Liam Bray, Elliot Bray, Emily Bray, Michael Bray, Avery Goodman, Bella Goodman, Bryer Goodman, Triction Goodman and Michael Layton Ray and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Daniel Bray, Nathan Bray, John Ellis Ray, Marty Bryant, Rex McCrory, Jeff Bryant, Duane Sistrunk and Kenny Ezell.
