Andrew Harris “Andy” Hughes of Brandon, MS, 70, passed away at his home July 7, 2018. Andy is survived by his wife, Linda, of Brandon, MS; son, Andrew Gregory “Greg” Hughes; and grandson Connor Avery Hughes of Albuquerque, NM. He is also survived by nieces Renee Emanuel and Jenny Small, and several great-nephews, nieces and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Vallie (Bowden) Hughes; brother, Lomax Hughes, and sister, Vivian Miller.

Andy is a graduate of Enterprise (AL) High School and Auburn University. He had a 48-year career with the Federal Highway Administration as a highway engineer.

Funeral services will be held at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS on Tues. July 10, 2018 at 10 a.m. Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Tues. July 10, 2018 prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise, AL on Wed. July 11, 2018 at 10am with Searcy Funeral Home of Enterprise, AL handling out of town arrangements.
