Andy Boyte

Forest, MS

Andy Boyte, age 50 and a longtime resident of Scott County, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at his home.

Funeral services will begin at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 7, 2019 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Larry Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in the Piketon Community under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Sunday and continue until service time at the funeral home.

Andy enjoyed hunting, carpentry, farming, his blue Heeler dogs, serving the Lord,  and spending time with his family.  He was an employee of Georgia Pacific in Pelahatchie and was a member of Salem Baptist Church at Lake.

He is preceded in death by his father: George Boyte and one half-brother: Rodney Boyte.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years: Marsha Gunn Boyte of Forest; one son: Kyle Boyte of Forest; his mother: Betty Boyte of Richton; one half-sister: Carolyn Smith of Brookhaven, and one half-brother: Terry Boyte of North Carolina.

Pallbearers will be Elvis Shaw, Malcolm Edwards, Tim Poarch, Chris Bankston, David Brewer, David Gunn, Howard Mitchell, and Ricky Waltman.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric Gunn, Jordan Gunn, and Brian Waltman.
