Ann Root

Ann Root went to be with Jesus on February 23, 2025.

Ann was born and raised in Crossett, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Leroy Watkins and Bertie Gill Watkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory Louis Root, Jr. Together they had five children. Mrs. Root is survived by her children – Beverly Root May, Stephen Paul Root and wife Denise, Gregory Louis Root, III, James William Root and wife Susan, and John Robert Root and wife Joyce. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, their spouses and 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the family, friends, and caregivers for the love and compassion shown Mrs. Root during her illness. A special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at Ott and Lee Funeral Home on March 14, 2025 at 9:00 am. Visitation will follow.
