Anna Johnson

Anna Maria Johnson “Oma”, age 87, passed away Wed. Aug 21, 2019 at Peach Tree Village Assisted Living in Brandon, MS.   Visitation will be held on Sun. Aug 25, 2019 from 1pm – 1:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.   Funeral Services are 2pm on Sun. Aug 25, 2019 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS. with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Trier, Germany on April 26, 1932 to the late Johann Kranz and Margaret Offling Kranz, being one of 11 children.   The US Military brought her to the United States which remained her lifetime home.   She loved and never forgot her German heritage, but was very proud to become a US Citizen in Sep. 1961 and lived her life being a military wife and raising their family as patriotic Americans in various US states, finally settling in Pearl, MS in 1977.   Her biggest joys and pride in life was definitely her children and grand-children.    She enjoyed sewing, knitting, flower gardens and any time spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy A Miley (Scott); and sons, Harvey J Johnson (Lena), John A Johnson (Charlotte) and Andy L Johnson; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband (Ret) USAF TSGT Roy Alan Johnson (1978), sons Billy (1959) and Robert “Bob” Johnson (1995) and grandson Jason Lee Johnson (2018).    Mrs. Johnson’s dear, loving and only sibling in the US was one of her sisters, Josephine “Fini” Jordan of Pearl, MS. whom they shared a deep special bond, also preceded her in death (2013).

She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, love of her family and leaving an impression with all whom she met.
