Annie Faye Shoemaker, 69, a resident of Morton died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at home. Visitation was held 2:30-9 pm Friday, March 25, 2011 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home. Funeral services were held 1 pm Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the funeral home with burial in the Bishop Walker Cemetery. Rev. Gary Wyatt officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Shoemaker was a native of Leake Co. She was the daughter of Charlie and Earline Hines. She was married to Charles “Son” Shoemaker. Mrs. Shoemaker worked in the poultry industry 36 years for B.C. Rogers. She was a member of North Morton Baptist Church. She loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Shoemaker was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Earline Hines, sister, Viola McGivney, brother, Austin Hines and a grandchild, Jessica Ray Bynum.
Mrs. Shoemaker is survived by her husband of 26 years, Charles “Son” Shoemaker of Morton; children, Linda Cates of Morton, Robert Bynum of Pulaski, Rita Gray of Morton, Ricky Bynum of Morton, Roma Thweatt of Morton, Jenny Michelle Rains of Flowood, Charles Michael Shoemaker and Christopher Carl Shoemaker of Pearl; sisters, Mary Guy of Morton, Nina Franklin of Morton, Sue Ellen Alford of Forest, Charlotte Bishop of Carthage, Jane Brown of Morton and Charlene Weeks of Pearl; brother, Charlie Ray Hines of Morton; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
