Mrs. Annie Lee Hawthorne, age 95, and a longtime resident of Lake passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the MS Care Center of Morton where she had been a resident for the last year.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Boyles officiating. Interment will follow in the Rehobeth Cemetery in Rankin County under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services on Wednesday.
Mrs. Hawthorne was a homemaker and a member of Sand Ridge Baptist Church at Lake. She loved her Lord, her family and her church family and will be remembered for her daily practice of Bible reading and living a Christian example before others. Tending to flowers and cooking were favorite past times.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Bro. Charlie Hawthorne; one great-grandson: Brad Harrison; her parents: Jessie James and Willie Bun Babb; and all of her brothers.
She is survived by her three children: Chuck (Peggy) Hawthorne, Jimmie (Lindsey) Shoemaker, and Randy (Cindy) Hawthorne, all of Lake; four grandchildren: Tonya Harrison, Donna Fortenberry, Amy Hollingsworth, and Jason Hawthorne; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and two sisters: Bonnie Minton and Dorothy Fay Prestage, both of Scott County; and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Harrison, Chad Hollingsworth, Jason Hawthorne, Brandon Harrison, Jason Judge, Dan Byram, Matt Byram, and Brady Harrison.
