Annie Lois “Red” Walls Thompson, age 83, a resident of Morton passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Mississippi Care Center in Morton. Visitation was held 5-9pm Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral service was held 2pm Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton and burial in Leesburg Baptist Cemetery. Bro. Tal Vardaman officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Neshoba County on March 23, 1932. She loved sewing and cooking. Ann loved to talk on the phone and enjoyed watching the birds feed from her window at the care center. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Henry Wall and Gladys Sessums Wall; husband, James Lewis Thompson; sisters, Rudell Cox and Nancy Hillman; brother, Benny Joe Wall; aunt and uncle, Irvin and Ferrell Coats.

She is survived by her children, Ricky Lewis Thompson (Jackie) of Pelahatchie, Kathy Ann Thompson Coley of Morton, Nita Jo Thompson of Morton and Patty Denise Thompson Westberry of Morton; 6 grandchildren, Crystal Ann Allen (Michael), Emmy Lou Thompson Moesta, Ricky Joseph Thompson (Erin), Jamie Lee Thompson, James Daniel Dubose (Amber) and William Blake McClendon; 5 great grandchildren, Michael Peyton Allen, Evan Nathaniel Allen, Keetin Reese Thompson, Triston Gage Allen and Candace Brooklyn Costello; nieces and nephews, Donald Ray Coats, Mike Hillman, Lynn Wall and Tammy Wall.

Pallbearers were Joseph Thompson, Jamie Thompson, Jimmy Dubose, Blake McClendon, Peyton Allen, Evan Allen, Donald Coats and Michael Allen. Honorary pallbearers were Roy Garcia, Bro. Tal Vardaman, Willie Pole McCurdy, Dr. Howard Clark, Triston Allen and Toney Hollingshead.

Memorials may be made in her honor to the American Heart Association.
