AQ “Buddy” Wheeler Jr., age 73, a resident of Morton passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at his residence.

He was born in Scott County on January 28, 1946.  Buddy loved being outdoors.  He loved working in his flowers and keeping the yard looking nice and feeding his chickens.  Buddy loved studying about U.S. History and anything about Star Wars.  He tinkered with all kinds of things and was a great handyman.  Buddy loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Glenda Wheeler; sons, Scott Wheeler,  Michael Wheeler,  Christopher Hughes,  James Ebeling, and  Nathan (Courtney) Hughes, daughter, Catherine Hughes all of Morton; sister, Patricia Clunan (Jim) of Vancleave; 8 grandchildren,  Stephen, Meagan, Jake, Chandler Wheeler,  Kaitlyn Phillips, Reagan Hughes,  Rebekah Rambo, John Mohon; 1 great grandchild and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, AQ Wheeler, Sr.; mother, Myrtle Estelle Wheeler and grandaughter, Jennifer Wheeler.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
