Arloa Jeanne Downey, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 2 pm until 4 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 4 pm from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home.
Arloa was born in Waukegan, Illinois on February 19, 1928 to the late Hugh and Ethel Grady Wilkins. She was married to the late Max J. Downey and had worked as a secretary for the State Fair for the State of Arizona. She had been a resident of Brandon, MS since 2009.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her siblings; and her son, Kip Zally.
Arola is survived by her daughter, Linda Ingram and her deceased husband, George of Brandon, MS; her daughter in law, Sandy Zally of Phoenix, AZ; six grandchildren, Tami Ingram Criswell (Chris), Walter Ingram, III, Melody Ingram Taylor (Brad), Tiffany Ingram Beckwith (Robby), David Scott Ingram (Bonnie), and Chelsea Zally; 12 great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Marilynn Carstens of St. Augustine, FL. and Frances Laverne Vojniewicz of Waukegan, IL.
