Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Neal Alford will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon, June 23, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton with the Rev. Jim Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Visitation will be Monday evening, June 22, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Arthur Neal Alford was born in Scott County to his parents, the late Alvie & Rosa Slade Alford on September 23, 1941 and passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2015 at his home at the age of 73.
A native of Scott County, he enjoyed gardening and yard work. He was a former barber and a retired employee from the State Hospital at Whitfield after 28 years of service. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Annie Bell, Bernard, Irene, Kamack, and Yvonne.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years: Barbara Alford of Lena; three children: Arthur S. Alford of Flora; Tammy (Rudy) Parker of Brandon, and Crystal Alford of Lena; three grandchildren; two sisters: Mecie Gay Crapps of Coal Bluff and Nellie Shaw of Forest; and one brother: S.J. Alford of Forkville.
