Arthur Prestage

Funeral services for Mr. Arthur L. Prestage will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, August 21, 2016 from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Prestage and Rev. Bobby Brooks officiating. Music will be provided by the Bobby Prestage Family.

Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Leake County under the direction of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home and on Sunday one hour prior to the funeral services.

Arthur Lee Prestage was born February 4, 1958 in Neshoba County and passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at his home in Carthage at the age of 58.

Favorite past times were flower arranging, cooking and crocheting. He was a former supervisor at B.C. Rogers Hatchery in Morton as long as his health permitted and a Baptist by faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Huie Lee Prestage, Sr., and Alma Frances Nicholson Prestage. Also preceding him in death was the mother who raised him as his birth mother passed away 46 years ago: Mary Ellen Vance Prestage. Four siblings preceded him in death: John Prestage, Maggie Creel, Rachel Watkins, and Joe Fortenberry, as well as one niece and three nephews.

Survivors include his twelve siblings: Earl (Kay) Nicholson of Texas; Judy (Robert) Carr of Forest; James (Carolyn) Moore of Carthage; Luther Prestage, Sr. of Carthage; Bonnie (Tyrone) Scott of Walnut Grove; Ina Bryant of Carthage; Patricia (Jim) Shephard of Carthage; Melissa (Todd) Moore of Carthage; Liz Shepard of Carthage; Huie (Marie) Prestage, Jr. of Carthage; Loretta “Tiny” Petty of Carthage and Carol Mann of Carthage; a host of nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be his nephews: Tyler Scott, Roman Bryant, D.J. Bryant, Justin Lawson, Austin King, Dakota Fortenberry, John Prestage, Jacob Pinter, Dusty Harris, and Joey Prestage.

Honorary Pallbearers will be his great-nephews.
