Aubrey Dewayne Sims

Aubrey Dewayne Sims, age 30, and a lifelong resident of Forest died Saturday, November 30, 2019, in Forest.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Monday, December 2, 2019 at the chapel of the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with interment to follow in the Harperville Memorial Park.  Rev. Rick Sellers will officiate the services.  The family will receive friends from 5pm-8pm on Sunday,  December 1, 2019 at the funeral home and again Monday from 12pm til 1:30pm.

Known by his family and friends as Dewayne, he loved his family, loved the outdoors and enjoyed attending Forest Baptist Church.  He had worked at Kooch Foods.  Dwayne was very artistic and was very gifted.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Bailey, Jr. and a step-father, Johnny Hoard.

Survivors include his mother, Denice Christie ( Terry) of Philadelphia,  2 children, Landon Riley Sims of Philadelphia,  Aiden Jace Rodgers of Forest along with a special aunt and uncle Peggy Sims and Kevin Sims, 3 sisters, Michelle Hoard (Bo) of Lake, Amanda Allen (Terrell), Heather Shoemaker (Dwayne),  all of Forest and his grandmother Emma Sims also of Forest.  He is also survived by several aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers are Dwayne Shoemaker, Aubrey Sims, Sequoyah Christie, John Weatherford, Jeffrey Bradford, Jr., and Krishun Shephard.  Aiden Jace Rogers is the honorary pallbearer.
