Audene Thornton Evans

Audene Thornton Evans, of Pearl, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the age of 85.

Visitation will be held at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be at High Hill Baptist Church in Raleigh, Mississippi, on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 10:00 am, with visitation from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will immediately follow in High Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Audene was born July 20, 1939, in Raleigh, Mississippi, to Esker Edward Thornton and Hazel Beatrice Hester Thornton. She grew up in Raleigh and graduated from Raleigh High School. She later moved to Puckett and then to Pearl in the 1980s, where she resided until her passing. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance until her retirement.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Esker and Beatrice Thornton.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Evans and Scotty Evans (Jan); brother, Eugene Thornton; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
