Audrey Goode

Mrs. Audrey Lee Goode, age 70, a resident of Morton, passed away on January 10, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.


Visitation was held 4-8pm Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 2 pm Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Leesburg Baptist Church in Rankin County with burial in the Leesburg Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Jones and Rev. Joseph Oster officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mrs. Goode was born in Rankin County in 1943. She is the daughter of Billy and Lillie Wilcher Parker. She married Ronald Lucian “Ronnie” Goode. Mrs. Goode was employed as a Supervisor by Delphi/Packard Electric in Clinton, MS for 28 years before retiring. She was a member of the Leesburg Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life.

Mrs. Audrey Goode was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Parker and Lillie Wilcher Parker; her husband, Ronnie Goode; brothers, Grover Parker and Fred Parker; sisters, Helen Atkinson, Margaret Waltman and Imogene Woods.

She is survived by her daughter, Holly Goode of Leesburg; son, Kye Goode of Leesburg; daughter-in-law, Sherry Goode of Leesburg; sisters, Berta D. Squires, Kate Squires and Denise Jenkins; brothers, Melvin Parker and his wife Jo Ann andJames “Jim” Parker; grandchildren, Rebecca Farmer and Brian Goode; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Serving Pallbearers were Chris Cumberland, Brandon Cumberland, Shannon Gilbert, Brian Goode, Johnny Hudson, Payton Jones and Parker Jones.
