Augusta Hurd

Augusta Mai Morehead Hurd age 86 of Kingsport, and formerly of Morton, MS passed away, Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Indian Path Medical Center. She leaves her husband: Charles Hurd of Kingsport, son: Richard Hurd of Colorado, daughter: Bonita (Rob) Hackler of Georgia, Grandchildren: Celeste (Sean) Everett, Eric Hurd, of Colorado; Kristy (Scott) Wyatt, Wendy and Matthew Hackler all of Georgia. Great grandchildren: Emmilee, Aidan, and Parker Wyatt of Georgia. Graveside services were held 1 pm Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in Morton, Mississippi at Simms Cemetery.

Mrs. Hurd was a native of Scott Co. She was the daughter of Melvin and Eunice Simms Morehead. She served in the medical field many years as a secretary. She loved her family and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Hurd was Preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Eunice Simms Morehead; and her siblings, Janice Chestnut, Wilahmenia Albin, Elaine Craig, Betty Easterling and Bryant Morehead.
