Mr. Austin Wayne Thompson, Jr., age 55 passed away Friday, September 29, 2017 in Jackson, MS. Visitation services are on Sunday, October 1, 2017 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Graveside services are at 2:00 pm Sunday, October 1, 2017 from the Hodge Hill Cemetery in Morton with burial at the Hodge Hill Cemetery.

Wayne was born to his parents, Austin and Winnie Faye Phillips Thompson, Sr. on December 30, 1961 in Morton, MS.  He was a self-employed contractor as a Heavy Duty Equipment Operator and truck driver for thirty-two years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being an outdoors man.  Wayne loved life and going to the shooting range where he would try to out shoot everyone.  He loved cook outs, fish fries, and life itself.  He loved his children, grandchildren and family.  He also loved being a sibling to his two brothers and sister.  Wayne loved being the son of Austin and Winnie Thompson.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Oscar Thompson and his parents, Austin and Winnie Thompson.

He is survived by his wife, Robbin Lynn Thompson; his children, Jason (Krista) Thompson of Morton, Austin Ray (Amber) Thompson of Morton, Russell Dwayne Thompson of Morton, Dene (Eddie) Graftin of Colorado; his sister, Diannia (Don) Cornelison  of Morton; his brother, Randy Lee (Judy) Thompson of Morton;  his, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and friends.  Also he is survived by his, Loving Mentionables, Connie Allen, Billy and Jan Chain, Jennifer Bird, Sherry Dennis, April Goodson, Lane Goodson, Lilly Goodson, Brock Goodson and all his nurses.

Serving as pallbearers were Alex Thompson, Ray Thompson, Brock Goodson, Steven Arnold, Brad Perry, and Taylor Cornelison.

Services entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
