Barbara Lynn McCormick, 55, passed away on October 7, 2011 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon. Visitation will be 11am until 12:45pm Monday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with a 1 pm service in the chapel. Interment will be in Brandon Memorial Gardens.
Lynn attended 2 years of pre-med at Delta State University and 2 years at University of Mississippi Medical Center and she was one of the first to operate an MRI in Houston, TX at Northwest Houston Medical Center. She was a member of Brandon Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Henry McCormick and Jeanette Young McCormick; sister, Alana &(Charlie) Phillips of Quitman, MS; niece, Misti &(Dan) Benchabbat; great nephew and niece, Jackson and Sarah Benchabbat of Raleigh, NC; nephew Corey &(Susanne) Stocker of Smyrna, GA; great niece, Mia Stocker; nephew, Elliott &(Kristen) Phillips of Quitman, MS and she was preceded in death by her grandparents.
