Barbara Myers

Barbara Ann Myers, 84, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services were held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Union Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 10:00-11:00 am at the church.

Mrs. Myers was born April 3, 1935 in Brandon, MS to Owen Boone and Maggie Burnham Boone. She was married to Carl Freeman Myers. Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. She enjoyed cooking and will always be remembered by her family as a wonderful cook and remebered for her pound cakes and fudge. She truly cared for people and when someone was in need, she was there to lend a helping hand. Mrs. Myers was an avid Ole Miss fan. She loved her family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to her life. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her parents, Owen Boone and Maggie Burnham Boone; husband, Carl Freeman Myers; brothers, Wordel, Frank, Howard, Edward, Owen, Jr. and Ralph Boone; sisters, Jewel, Grace, Ethel and Necy.

Mrs. Myers is survived by her daughter, Kelli Ashmore; grandson, Dustin Carl Ashmore; sister, Ruth Collins; brother, James Boone; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
