Mrs. Barbara Prestage, age 68, a resident of Morton passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at her residence. Her visitation was held 5-7pm Friday, January 27, 2017 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Service was held 7pm Friday at Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton. Bro. Jack Stewart officiated the service. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Barbara was born August 2, 1948 in Scott County. She believed in working hard and she always extended her home to help others in need. Barbara enjoyed working outside in her flowers and enjoyed working with wood and building things. She loved her dogs and enjoyed spoiling them. Barbara loved her family and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is preceded in death by husband, James C. Prestage; parents, John Murphy Arender and Lois Avery Smith Arender; brother, Johnny Mack Arender and sister, Wanda Jackson.
She is survived by her sons, John Mark Evans of Morton and David Evans of Morton; brother, Lester I. Arender (Amanda) of Canton; 6 grandchildren, Cheyenne Jackson, Crissy Prestage, Kaityln Evans, Kaley Prestage Massey, Brittany Massey and Cameron Evans and a host of friends.
