Barbara Roberts

Barbara Ann Roberts, 81, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her residence in Brandon. Visitation is 5-8 pm Monday, January 29, 2018 and 9:30 am on Tuesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.  Services are 11 am Tuesday at the funeral home with a 2 pm graveside at Carr Cemetery in Smith County. Dr. Keith Grubbs will officiate with Terry Roberts providing the Eulogy.

Mrs. Roberts was a native of Scott and Smith Counties and a resident of Rankin County since 1981. She was a member of Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl. Mrs. Roberts was a longtime Administrative Assistant for Carl Ray Furr with Engineering Associates, currently known as Pickering Engineering.  She was an avid Mississippi State Fan and enjoyed shopping and spending “Fun” time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Lori Walraven (Ken) of Newnan, GA; son, Bill Roberts (Michelle) of Brandon; grandchildren, Colby Roberts (Christy), Hunter Roberts, Layton Roberts, Alex Keene, Cameron Keene, Hunter Walraven, Garrett Walraven and Dalton Walraven; sisters, Frances Rester (Dr. Bob) of Brandon and Susan Burns (Danny) of Columbus; brother, Jim Hughes of Double Springs, AL; sister-in-law, Jeannine Hughes of Byram. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Derrell Roberts in 2013; parents, Roy and Fannie Ruth Hughes and brother, Billy Hughes.
