Barbara Ann Fortenberry, 73, passed from this life into eternity on Thursday, March 6, 2014 to be welcomed by her parents, Pierre Victor and Jennie Clark Bounds, son, Jerry Wayne Fortenberry , sister, Patricia Morgan and brother, Allen Bounds. Visitation is 10 am Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 12 noon Saturday at the funeral home with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Barbara was retired from the UMC Purchasing Department and was of the Baptist Faith. She graduated from Central High School in Jackson.
Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Fortenberry McJunkins (Tom); son, Daniel J. Fortenberry (Marie); grandchildren, Stephen Geary, Christopher Fortenberry, Stephanie Bailey(Trey), Jerry and Timothy Fortenberry; great grandchildren, Addison and Camden Geary and Aubrey Fortenberry; sisters, Marie Thigpen (Jerry), Mary Bounds Baughn, Myrna Fortenberry (Milton), Brenda Freeny (Tommy) and brother, David Michael Bounds. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
