Barbara L. Smith, 62, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Covington County. Visitation is 5-8 pm Saturday at First United Pentecostal Church in Brandon. Services are 2 pm Sunday at First Pentecostal Church, I 55 South in Jackson with burial Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon.
Barbara was a native of Shuqualak, MS and has been a longtime resident of Brandon. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Jackson and a former member of First United Pentecostal Church in Brandon where she has been serving as church secretary for 34 years. Barbara loved life and was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Danny Smith of Brandon; son, Jason Smith and his wife Brandi of Brandon; grandchildren, Dakota, Peyton and Emery Kate Smith of Brandon; sisters, Bonnie Nichols of Crestview, Florida, Betty Sanders of Columbia, South Carolina and Becky Brown of Leakesville; brothers, Billy Cotton of Sebastopol and Bobby Cotton of Mobile.
