Bart Joseph Madden, age 66, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 10, 2022, at First Baptist Church Fannin Cemetery in Fannin, MS. Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm-1:30 pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mr. Madden was born September 15, 1955, to Eli Joseph Madden and Fredna Batson Madden. He was married to Era Elizabeth Brown Madden. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fannin, MS. During his teaching and coaching career, he served in many areas of the state starting in at Stone High School in Wiggins, MS, Murrah High School in Jackson, MS, Northwest Rankin High School in Brandon, MS, Pearl High School in Pearl, MS, Ocean Springs High School in Ocean Springs, MS, Vancleave High School in Vancleave, MS, Brandon High School in Brandon, MS and finished his career at Hartfield Academy in Flowood, MS. Mr. Madden loved his family and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Madden was preceded in death by his parents, Eli Joseph Madden and Fredna Batson Madden and his sister, Katherine Bell.
Mr. Madden is survived by his wife of 36 years, Era Elizabeth Brown Madden; sons, Brad Madden and his wife, Leigh Ellen Madden and Brett Madden and his wife (Amber Madden); grandson, Thomas Madden; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Fannin building fund.
