Belton J. Hall, 81, a resident of Morton died Sunday, June 1, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. Funeral services were held 2 pm Tuesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with interment to follow in the North Morton Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held 4-9 pm Monday, June 2, 2014 at the funeral home. Eulogy was read by Mike Webb. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Hall was a native of Humphreys Co. He was the son of William Hurbert and Louella Olliebelle Dearman Hall. He was married to his “Sweet Red Rose”, Annie Belle Plunkett Hall for 61 years. He worked for BC Rogers in the Poultry Industry. He was a member of the Morton Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Hall enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents, William Hurbert and Louella Olliebelle Dearman Hall; sons, Ronald Hall and Glen D. Hall; grandchildren, Victoria Machelle Easterling, James Hall and Elizabeth Hall; and 9 of his siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Belle Hall; 4 children, Belton Clifton (Janie) Hall of Springfield, Tony Hall of Morton, Judy Kemp (Thomas) of Clarksburg and Jeff Hall (Joan Cohn) of Lake; Foster daughter, Sarah Coward of Harperville; sisters, Mattie Lou Palmer of Morton and Shirley Rushing of Natchez; brothers, Chester Hall of Brandon and Ramey Hall of Hazlehurst; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; special family friend, David Pierce (Ashley) of Williston, ND; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Serving as pallbearers were David Ainsworth, Dusty Hall, Daniel Hall, David Pierce, Joel Easterling and Tyler Ogden.
