Benjamin Zolan “B.Z.” Polk, 78, died peacefully surrounded by his family at MS Care Center in Morton on January 24, 2011 following an extended illness. His parents Frank Estus and Lillian Gertrude Polk, brothers , Edward ,         , Jerrel, Travis and his sister Mary McGowan all preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Aldarene Aycock Polk, four daughters, Wanda Stevenson (Ellie Ray), Sheila Cooper, Robbie Warren (Rickey) all of Morton and Rita Huff (Dr. Kelly) of Athens, GA; seven grandchildren, Heather Overstreet (Wade), Jake Puckett (Renee), Brook Box (Jeff) of Morton, Matt Warren (Nickie) of Polkville, Kayla Stevenson of Morton, John and Laura Huff of Athens, GA; ten great grandchildren, Joel, Abigail and Sarah Overstreet, Macey and Zane Box, Lexie Warren, Zack and Triston Moore, Jayden and Hendrix Puckett and a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 pm Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Morton with burial to follow in Morton Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be today 10 am –2 pm. The family will be enternally grateful to the staff and care takers at MS Care Center and Providence Hospice.
