Ben Stegall, 23, a resident of Morton died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation was held 5-9 pm Friday, February 8, 2013 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Pulaski Independent Methodist Church Cemetery. Funeral services were held 10 am Saturday, February 09, 2013 at the funeral home. Rev. Keith Keeton and Dr. Billy McKay officiated the services. Services were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Ben was a native of Scott Co. He was the son of Stacey and the late Melinda Miles Stegall. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church. He loved people and he never met a stranger. Ben loved to played pool and has won many games thru his life. He loved his family and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Ben was preceded in death by his mother, Melinda Stegall, maternal grandfather, Billy R. Miles, paternal grandfather, Glover Stegall and his 1st cousin, Diana Miles.
Ben is survived by his father, Stacey Stegall of Morton; grandmothers, Robin Stegall of Morton and Ann Winstead Miles of Morton; aunt, Joanne (Lindsley) Keeton of Morton and Gayle Stegall of Pearl; uncles, Russell (Teresa) Stegall of Florida and Tommy (Susan) Stegall of Morton; a host of cousins and friends and special mention of his pool playing friends.
Serving as pallbearers were Willie Tubby, Ira Tubby, Chris Buffington, James “Bubba” Foster, Chris Biggart and Eric Watkins.
