Bennie D. Swain, 64, a resident of West, MS passed away August 22, 2018 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the First United Pentecostal Church in Brandon, MS with interment in the Lakeview Gardens in Greenville, MS. Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm Saturday at the church.
Mr. Swain was a native of Monroe, LA. He was the son of Clayborn Eugene Swain and Ethel Ilene Higginbotham Swain. He was married to Glenda Harrell Swain. Mr. Swain work many years as a farmer. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Greenville, MS. He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Swain was preceded in death by his parents, Clayborn Eugene Swain and Ethel Ilene Higginbotham Swain; sister, Janice Swain and his brothers, Carl Swain and Lamar Swain.
Mr. Swain is survived by his wife of 46 years, Glenda Swain; his children, Pamela (Ken) Irby, Steven D. (Sandy Diane) Swain and Brooklyn (Ryan) Horne; sisters, Lucy (Dan) Pettiet, Inez (Ronnie) Smithey, Marlean (Roger) Harrell and Glenda (Benny) Cox; brothers, Tommy (Shirley) Swain and Rodney (Debbie) Swain; sister in law, Nancy Swain; five grandchildren, Hunter Scucchi, Aaron Irby, Kassidy Irby (Ethan) Doyal Luke Swain and Ella Swain; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
