Bennie "Scotty" Denson

Scotty Denson, age 68, a resident of Lena passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.  Visitation will be held 11am-2pm Friday, March 19, 2021 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.  Chapel service will be held at 2pm Friday in the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton.  Burial will be in Parker Cemetery but there will be NO graveside service.  Rev. Kevin Cooper will officiate the services.

Mr. Denson was born in Scott County on February 2, 1953.  He was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved to hunt, fish and work in his vegetable garden.  Scotty was an extreme good handyman.  He also was a strong believer in his 2nd Amendment rights.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Babb Denson; parents, David Paul Denson and Annie Thelma Simmons Denson; sister, Dot McLemore; brothers, Marty Dale Denson, Dallas Paul Denson and Alton Freddy Denson.

He is survived by his children, Barry Scott Denson (Samantha) of Madison, Heather Dorman (Nathan) of Carthage and Josh Denson (Melissa) of Flowood; grandchildren, Nathan Scott Denson, Taylor Everett Denson, Evelynn Sutton and Briar Dorman; siblings, Annie Dalphine Rainer and Barnie Gail “Ronnie” Denson and a host of friends.
