Services for Mr. Benton Ray Gilmore will be held at 1pm on Sat. May 18, 2024 at Milling Funeral Home in Sebastopol, MS with burial to follow at High Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Rusty Walton will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5pm-6:30pm on Fri. May 17, 2024 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. There will also be a visitation from 12pm-1pm on Sat. May 18, 2024 at Milling Funeral Home in Sebastopol, MS prior to services.

Mr. Gilmore, age 74, passed away on May 15, 2024 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He will be remembered for his love for the outdoors: fishing, hunting and gardening. Benton was a U.S. Veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam Conflic.

Survivors are 2 sons: Kevin Gilmore of Brandon and Conrad Gilmore (Allison) of Brandon; 2 sisters, Carolyn Johnston of Yazoo City and Hilda Lang (Max) of Sebastopol; 2 brothers, George Gilmore (Debbie) of Sebastopol and Larry Gilmore of Sebastopol. Mr. Gilmore is preceded in death by his parents, George Oliver Gilmore and Johnnie Mae McKee Gilmore and 2 brothers, Jerry Gilmore and Jim (Bobbie) Gilmore.

Pallbearers are Nicky Wynn, Brandon Wynn, Larry Edmondson, Scott Gilmore, Jason Gilmore and Brian Loe. Honorary Pallbearer is Carson Gilmore.
